Comenity Bank Is Behind Many Store Brand Credit Cards

Did you know that a company by the name of Comenity Bank is behind many of the store brand credit cards that are available on the marketplace? That means if you have a credit card from Abercrombie & Fitch, Bed Bath & Beyond, BJ’s, Victoria’s Secret, Zales or a host of other retail chains you are actually doing business with Comenity Bank. Furthermore, that may also mean that you are in debt to Comenity Bank. If you are late on your monthly payments and or have a past due debt balance, chances are high that Comenity Bank’s in-house collections and billing departments will be contacting you in order to collect on that debt.

That being stated, there are a few things that you should know. First and foremost, any organization that is attempting to collect a debt that is owed to them is not allowed to harass you in any way. That means they cannot make empty threats such as having you arrested if you fail to pay the past due balances in their entirety or in the form of monthly payments. They cannot threaten to cause you physical harm in any manner. In addition, they cannot threaten to garnish your wages. Debt collectors simply do not have the power to do any of these things, yet it doesn’t stop some of them from making threats.

Do you know some debt collectors take part in such underhanded methods? It’s because they are trying to scare people into paying the debt that they owe. Debt collectors have a right to attempt to collect debt that is owed, however they certainly do not have a right to tamper with your consumer rights. The ones that do are actually breaking the law. In addition, debt collectors are only allowed to call you at certain hours. If they call before or after these time frames they are committing debt harassment. Speaking of receiving phone calls, do you recognize any of the following phone numbers?

800-675-5685, 800-305-1215, 800-695-1788, 888-332-4728, 855-506-2495, 913-312-9488, 720-356-3688, 732-806-3199, 609-400-7010, 614-754-4136, 614-729-9025, 614-729-9031, 614-729-6040, or 614-729-4000.

The reason why we ask is because these are just a few of the many phone numbers that Comenity Bank’s in-house collections and billing departments may be calling you from. Debt collectors are not allowed to contact your family, friends, co-workers, boss, neighbors, or associates in order to inform them that they owe a debt. Yet many do because they are trying to embarrass you. When a debt collector toys with your emotions it increases the chances that you will pay off the past due debt even if you cannot afford to do so.

The bottom line is that some debt collectors will do anything that they can think of in order to “encourage” you to pay the past due debt that is owed to them. The good news is that you can stop debt collection harassment and we can help. That means you no longer need to be a victim. You no longer need to worry about answering your phone when it rings. You no longer need to feel the additional stress and pressure of having a debt collector harassing you. Although you may have made a mistake or two with your finances it certainly doesn’t mean that you deserve to be harassed by a debt collector.
